Description

3M™ 5962 VHB™ (Very High Bond) Tape is a 62 mil thick, double-sided black acrylic foam tape measuring 1 inch wide by 5 yards long. The conformable acrylic foam core delivers cushioning, vibration damping, and impact resistance, while the acrylic adhesive creates a permanent, load-bearing bond that replaces mechanical fasteners, rivets, and liquid adhesives in demanding assemblies.

This tape is widely used in industrial manufacturing, automotive assembly, architectural panel attachment, and electronics fabrication — anywhere a clean, fastener-free bond is required on metals, plastics, composites, or painted surfaces. Its resistance to moisture, UV exposure, and solvents makes it equally reliable in outdoor signage, marine environments, and interior production lines.
