This smooth polyester strapping is a direct Signode® 1816-comparable alternative, offering drop-in compatibility with existing polyester strapping tools, tensioners, and serrated or sandpaper seals. Each coil measures 1/2" wide by 10,500 feet and is wound on a 16 x 6" core, weighing approximately 55 lbs.

Polyester holds tension longer than polypropylene, making it the preferred choice for compressible or settling loads in lumber yards, building materials distribution, heavy manufacturing, and outdoor staging environments. The non-corrosive, UV-resistant construction eliminates rust transfer risk and holds up under prolonged sun exposure. At roughly 80% lighter than steel strapping, it reduces handler fatigue in high-volume palletizing and unitizing operations.
