Central® 260 Reinforced Water Activated Tape is a fiberglass-reinforced kraft tape featuring a patented starch-based adhesive that activates on contact with water. The fiberglass yarns are bonded between two kraft paper sheets, delivering cross-directional tensile strength that standard paper tape cannot match. Once applied, the adhesive penetrates the carton surface to create a permanent, tamper-evident bond that maintains integrity across extreme hot and cold temperature conditions.
This tape is engineered for high-volume carton sealing in warehousing, e-commerce fulfillment, manufacturing, and retail distribution. The reinforced construction performs reliably at carton corners, overlapping flaps, and irregular surfaces — exactly the points where unreinforced tape is most likely to fail. The kraft facing is repulpable and recyclable, and the fiberglass yarns are removable during the repulping process, making it compatible with sustainable packaging programs.
The tape works with standard water-activated tape dispensers and requires no special equipment beyond a water source. Sold in cases of 8 rolls, with each case weighing approximately 22 lbs. Ships via parcel carrier.
